Word Find: Blackbeard's Ship

Have you heard? The ship of the famous pirate Blackbeard has been found! A ship that is probably Blackbeard's ship, the Queen Anne's Revenge, has been fount near Beaufort, North Carolina. Authorities say that it isn't possible to be 100% sure but they are reasonably certain that the ship that was found in about 20 feet of water is Blackbeard's ship!

Archeologists have brought up artifacts from the ship. These artifacts are the kind that would have been on the Queen Anne's Revenge.

Blackbeard was the 'fiercest' pirate of them all and the most famous. He roamed the Atlantic and terrorized people on the land and on the sea until his death in 1718.

Blackbeard's real name was Edward Teach. He was thought to be from around Bristol, England. No one really knows much about Blackbeard's life before he became a pirate. His early life and the man himself is still a mystery. Maybe his ship can tell us more about the legendary pirate!

For Your Information:
An archeologist is a person who studies the past by finding objects and things from the past. (There are two ways to spell this word - archeologist or archaeologist).
An artifact is a manmade object usually from the past.
